Serendipity Philly has been fun! Marilyn Flanagan put together a great event at the Barnes & Noble on Walnut Street. Our event, on the third floor, took place right next to the Weddings & Etiquette section. As for the window display, the sex worker books are sitting right next to Bertrand Russell's Marriage & Morals. I kid you knot. If you're in Philly, go to the corner of Walnut and 18th and see for yourself...
Signed copies of Diary can be found at the B&N on Walnut Street, Philadelphia. You can also pick up signed copies of Veronica Vera's Cross-Dress for Success and Chicken: Self-Portrait of a Young Man for Rent by David Sterry.

Media in My Mailbox
Philadelphia's City Paper discusses our upcoming reading at Barnes & Noble. Blue Books: Talking with the Sex Worker Literati by Alex Richmond. October 3 issue: http://citypaper.net/articles/current/books.shtml
Brock Meeks of MSNBC.com interviewed me for "The vice squad goes online" which you can find here: http://www.msnbc.com/news/onlinedating_Front.asp Go to Featured Stories and click on the October 3 piece by Brock Meeks. Sex workers today are "homesteading the Web," according to Meeks. He also talked to a prosecutor involved in a recent crackdown. Scary? Find out how the other half thinks.
Tricks of the Trade by Victoria Namkung appeared this summer in Asian Week. It's finally up and online at: http://www.cyberducky.com/asianweek/2002_08_09/arts_workinggirl.html
I just heard from Janusz Uiberall, tireless publisher of Digital Journal. The Holiday 2002 issue will be on Canadian newsstands as of November 15. Distribution in the US will soon be announced. My contribution: a borderline take on identity, among other things.
Finally, an email from Veronica Vera. The window at Barnes & Noble, 105 Fifth Ave at 18th Street in NYC: it's sexier than ever. Check it out if you're in the vicinity!
